William Curley Macarons

On my recent trip to London I was able to visit the famous Harrods for the first time
and to be honest, it would probably be my last haha

As much as I like to pretend I'm classy, this place it just NOT for me
The staff were all pretty snooty and everyone in store lost their sense of direction
I was constantly being bumped in to, was this a store or a mosh pit?!
(honestly, I've felt more comfortable in mosh pits)

So I felt a little relieved when we stumbled upon all the yummy foods
Oh gosh, there was soooo much yummy food
Of course things were still rather posh, but nothing will ever amuse me more
than seeing 3 Japanese dudes standing in the middle of the floor
trying their first Scotch Egg and doing so with Chopsticks
It was a beautiful sight

Anyway, I bought some macarons by William Curley!

They were £3.50 each with no kind of 'discount' for buying a box full

Strawberries and creme, Matcha and Yuzu, Salted Caramel and Raspberry

The macarons them selves were very thick, which was quite unusual
and the anomalies didn't stop there as the Matcha macaron had a slab of Yuzu jelly in the middle
it was so strange and kind of ruined the texture

The other flavours were nice with the Salted Caramel being pretty much HEAVEN
But I wouldn't race back to Harrods for another pop at these macarons
(I'd probably hit up the bakery though, so many yummy looking breads)

If you are in London are have a macaron craving, I'd say check out Laduree
I believe they have a cafe inside Harrods, and their macarons are slightly cheaper at £2.10 each

and if you're in the North, I'd recommend a visit to Bettys for macaron galore ♥

My mum bought some Mince Pies and the guy that served us
spotted my Star Wars T-shirt and turns out he was a friend of John Boyega!
He seemed so proud of his friend and that out a huge smile on my face

HAUL: Hyper Japan Goodies

 (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ HAUL TIME!
Aww yeaaahh, my favourite time of all
Here’s everything I bought when I was at Hyper Japan
If you haven’t already be sure to check out my post about the event here ♪

J-list 福袋

As the New Year looms, many stores in Japan are preparing their 福袋
and popular online retailer of Japanese goods J-list is no exception!

In case you don't know, 福袋/fukubukuro are lucky bags
Stores fill bags with items from their stores and sell them at a reduced price
The catch?
You have no idea what your box will contain!!

It's such a gamble, but a total thrill and more often than not you get lucky

This year J-list has various themed bags for sale
The cheapest of their offerings is a Snack Bag for $25 which contains 10 random snacks

Next is the Doki Doki Lucky Random Set for $40
This includes "7+ items, including one large and one small plush toy,
a large electronic toy/home item, a useful traditional Japanese item,
an all-ages visual novels in English, a transforming robot toy,
a large home/kitchen item, plus a kawaii Sanrio item"

For lovers of all things cute there is a Kawaii bag also for $40
This set promises items which amount to $90+, a great saving!

and for the Otaku, an Anime Goods bag for $50
There was an even bigger Anime bag available but these things sure do sell fast

But there is one bag in particular that grabs my attention...

The returning and ever popular Sailor Moon lucky bag!
This years costs $80 and promises...
"3 capsule toy sets, 3 stationery, 1 set of mini figures, one fashion accessory,
one manga, one cute trinket, and one random item"

I bought a slightly more expensive version of this bag earlier in the year and...

I paid $120 for this mystery bag and one item alone was worth $90
In fact, the total value of my lucky bag was a staggering $256.85

So I can't recommend these bags enough and even better
J-list are hosting a flash giveaway where you can win any bag of your choice

You'll have to be quick though! There's only 2 days left!

* This is not a sponsored post, I just love lucky bags ok!

Japan Crate: November 2015

 (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Hey everyone!
I recently received the November edition of Japan Crate and thought I'd blog about it~

In case you don't know what Japan Crate is
It's a monthly subscription box jam packed with snacks and goodies from Japan!

(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Why hello there!
I am so sorry for this silly game of cat-and-mouse with my blog at the moment
I tried WordPress again and soon became frustrated with the limitations
Things weren't formatting the way I wanted them to
and I think the whole thing just seemed a little none user friendly

So this blog will be my new home, and I mean it this time!
I'll be importing the few WordPress posts I made here and then back to new content

See you soon ♥
